Privacy Policy
Summary
SleepTyme does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. All data you enter or generate inside the app stays on your device. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no servers operated by SNE Interactive LLC.
What data the app handles
The only data SleepTyme stores is what you generate by using the app:
- Your selected sleep mode and age group (e.g., Adult, Teen, Infant)
- Your most recent custom bedtime selection
- Your purchase status (whether SleepTyme Pro is unlocked)
- The wake time of any alarm you have currently armed
All of this is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults system. It is never transmitted to SNE Interactive LLC, never uploaded to any server, never shared with any third party, and never used for advertising or analytics.
HealthKit
SleepTyme offers optional integration with Apple Health. If — and only if — you explicitly grant permission, the app may:
- Read sleep history from Apple Health to display your recent average sleep duration as context.
- Write a planned sleep schedule (your selected bedtime and target wake time) to Apple Health so other sleep apps can see it.
This data flows only between SleepTyme and Apple's HealthKit framework on your device. It is never transmitted off your device by SleepTyme, never sent to SNE Interactive LLC, and never shared with any third party. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time from Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → SleepTyme.
Notifications
When you arm an alarm, SleepTyme schedules a local iOS notification as a backup so the alarm rings even if you force-quit the app. This notification is created and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No notification data is sent to SNE Interactive LLC. You can disable notifications at any time from Settings → Notifications → SleepTyme.
Background audio
SleepTyme uses iOS background audio mode to keep its alarm engine running while your phone is locked overnight. This is the standard approach used by sleep and alarm apps. No audio is recorded; only short bundled chime files are played at the scheduled wake time. The microphone is never accessed.
What we do not collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, Apple ID)
- Device identifiers (advertising ID, IDFV, IDFA)
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data
The app does not include any third-party SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no advertising networks, no crash reporters).
Network access
SleepTyme does not make any network requests of its own. The only exception is when you make an in-app purchase, in which case Apple's StoreKit handles the transaction directly with the App Store. SNE Interactive LLC does not receive or process payment information.
In-app purchase
SleepTyme offers a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase:
- SleepTyme Pro — $1.99 one-time unlock for the smart alarm, additional age modes, and full nap features.
The purchase is processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction. We do not have access to your payment information. The purchase is recorded on your Apple ID via StoreKit and is restorable across your devices using Apple's "Restore Purchases" mechanism.
Children
The app is suitable for users of all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The Infant age preset is intended for adult parents calculating wake times for an infant — no data about the infant is recorded.
Data deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can remove everything by:
- Deleting the app from your device, which removes all app data, or
- Going to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → SleepTyme → Delete App
If you previously authorized HealthKit access, you can also revoke it independently from Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → SleepTyme.
We have nothing to delete on our end because we never received your data in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance.
